Affiliate disclosure

Last updated 18 June 2026.

TunnelScore is a reader-supported, independent comparison site. Some of the links to VPN providers on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and subscribe, we may earn a commission. This is disclosed in compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), which require transparency about any "material connection" between us and the products we recommend.

It costs you nothing extra

Affiliate commissions never change the price you pay — it is identical whether you use our link or go to the provider directly.

Commissions do not buy rankings

Our recommendations and scores are decided on each VPN's published specifications — jurisdiction, independently audited no-logs policy, servers, device limits and real price — not on how much a provider pays. We do not accept payment for a better ranking, we include providers that pay us nothing where relevant, and we tell you plainly when a VPN is a poor fit.

Which programs

We participate (or intend to participate) in affiliate programs operated by the VPNs we cover — including NordVPN, Surfshark, ExpressVPN, CyberGhost, Proton VPN and Private Internet Access — directly or through networks such as Awin, Impact and CJ. Outbound affiliate links carry a rel="sponsored" attribute, and a short disclosure appears next to the calls-to-action themselves, not only on this page.
